Twitter is rolling out its ephemeral tweets experiment “Fleets” to India, which allows users to share text, photos, and videos that disappear within 24 hours.
These Fleets don’t get retweets, likes or public replies and people can only react to them with direct messages, similar to how Stories on Snapchat or Instagram function. Users will be able to see Fleets from the accounts they follow from through a new row that appears on the top of the user’s timeline. One can also view Fleets from any account by tapping on the user’s avatar.
The feature will be rolled out in a phased manner to all users in India through its iOS and Android apps in the forthcoming days.
Testing, testing…We’re testing a way for you to think out loud without the Likes, Retweets, or replies, called Fle… https://t.co/BYA90hvFb0
