As we went into lockdown around the world, business owners and Xero partners had to learn a lot of new information quickly. So we turned our focus to educating our customers.
Over the last few months we’ve worked hard to pull together a series of daily educational webinars covering everything from accessing government assistance programmes to managing staff wellbeing, and business continuity planning.
We created our Business continuity hub on Xero Central to bring all the content together in one place. Here you can find the latest information on government assistance programmes and watch recordings of the webinars.
Working with our customer experience and community teams, we knew there was an urgent need for cash flow related resources. So we developed an educational journey of videos, courses and articles that covers everything from understanding the basics of cash flow to advanced reporting.
More individuals engaging than ever
We’ve seen a huge surge in the number of people accessing our educational resources in the last three months. Our webinar content alone was accessed by 22,772 people, up from 1,346 people in the seven weeks prior.
Upskilling hasn’t stopped there. We’ve also seen an increase in people wanting to get the most out of Xero for their business.
Xero certification helps partners and business owners become proficient with Xero’s core features. This helps them to become more confident and knowledgeable, and get the most out of Xero to run their business. And we’re very excited to announce two major milestones: 100,000 partner certifications and 10,000 Xero certified small business owners, in-house finance staff, and students.
Hendrik de Vos – a Xero Platinum Partner – was the 100,000th advisor to achieve Advisor Certification, based out of Johannesburg. We spoke with him to find out more about his experience.
Hendrik mentioned that he “really enjoyed the certification programme” and that he “could truly see the benefit of cloud-based accounting”. In particular he found Xero’s “bank reconciliation process and email to bills functionality to be really useful”.
We also asked Hendrik what advice he would give to individuals looking to complete the certification programme. His tip was to “…take a look through the questions first, that way you can keep an eye out for the answers as you work through the lesson. I found it easier to answer them that way around.” Congratulations Henrik on achieving your Advisor Certification status.
