FCA wants tougher regulation of appointed reps
The FCA is consulting on plans to significantly strengthen regulation of appointed representatives (ARs) after analysis showed firms employing appointed reps suffered four times as many complaints as firms not using appointed reps. The FCA says it is seeing a, “wide range of harm across all sectors where firms have ARs (appointed representatives)” and needs to tackle the problem. […]
