In the wake of extreme weather events, the Xero Assistance Programme (XAP) is being extended to all small businesses in the Auckland, Northland and Waikato regions.
From Wednesday 1st February through to Friday 31st March, any small business owner, employee or their families in Auckland, Northland and Waikato regions can access three confidential and free telephone, live chat, online or face-to-face counselling sessions.
The impact of the recent harsh weather has forced many small businesses to close while others are dealing with ongoing issues due to the flooding.
Unexpected events like the flooding and extreme weather can cause anxiety and stress and we want to support all Kiwi small businesses through this difficult time.
Not only are they dealing with the fallout of the recent weather, but for many this is compounded by the current economic climate, which is already weighing heavy on their minds.
All Xero customers across Aotearoa, along with their staff and families, are already eligible for free and confidential professional counselling through XAP – equating to more than one million Kiwis throughout the country.
The importance of looking after your wellbeing shouldn’t be understated, and taking proactive steps to protect yourself, your employees and families should be seen as a strength.
We hope anyone in need of a service like XAP reaches out to get the help and support they need to look after themselves and get through these challenging times.
To access, users simply need to message xap@xero.com with the name of their business, or follow the instructions here.
