RRL expands
RRL, the independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers based in Cornwall, is expanding its presence in Penzance due to a growing demand for its services requiring an increasing number of team members.
Nick Skerratt, Partner at RRL explained the reasons for the expansion: “Since first opening the Penzance office, we’ve experienced fantastic growth in our client base in West Cornwall. We’ve now had a refit in the office, which will allow double the number of people to work here. We’ve received a lot of great feedback from clients, and the addition of the new workstations will enable us to offer our services to even more businesses and individuals in the area.
“We are conveniently located in the centre of town which is ideal for meetings with both new and long-standing clients, saving people from travelling further afield. It doesn’t matter which of our offices you come to; you’ll receive high-quality advice at both, focusing on looking at the bigger picture.”
The Cornish accountancy firm opened their new Penzance office in May 2018, having first established a presence in the town two years previously. It offers a full range of accounting services including tax advice, accounts preparation audit, probate, grants services and management accounts.
DSG adds to Liverpool practice with Mazars transfer
The Liverpool-based Chartered Accountants firm DSG has completed the transfer of Mazars’ Liverpool audit practice, boosting the firm’s audit team to 31.
The deal involves the acquisition of the majority of Mazars’ Liverpool audit clients and staff, including audit directors Neil Kelly and Angela Harrison.
DSG has continued to invest in its team in recent months, following a series of promotions. In October, DSG announced the promotion of four of its Corporate Business team members, while Mark Kearsley was also promoted to Tax Director.
The firm is also looking to expand its operations in Liverpool, with a planned office move scheduled for early 2020.
Tony Bayliss, Senior Partner at DSG Chartered Accountants, commented: “This is an excellent transaction for DSG and enhances the firm’s reputation in the local marketplace, as well as providing a foundation for future growth. Given the strength of the existing DSG audit offering, we were considered to be a natural fit, and we are confident that this represents a great outcome for both the clients and staff transferring over.
“We look forward to welcoming the new team and will work closely with Neil and Angela to ensure clients are transitioned smoothly and that excellent client service levels are maintained.”
