At Xero, we’re always looking for ways to better serve our customers and the small business economy. That’s why we’re committed to making sure we have the right people in the right locations around the world, so the teams that build Xero can live and work in the same communities that use our platform every day.
As part of this commitment, I’m excited to announce that we’re establishing the Toronto office as a product and technology hub. Toronto is a great city with world-class talent and access to a number of universities with leading STEM programs, so it’s the perfect place for us to expand our teams over the next few years.
As a Canadian, I know how proud we are of our ability to get things done and make a positive impact, not only in Canada but around the world. So it will be exciting to see how our new product and tech teams make their Canadian mark on Xero customers globally.
A team teeming with excellence
The first teams to be built will include global payment and billing solutions, as well as data, AI and machine learning teams. We’re seeking Toronto’s best data scientists, product managers, software developers, quality engineers, UX designers and researchers, DevOps and software development managers. All of whom will help us solve critical problems for small businesses in this time zone.
Our new Toronto Xeros will join teams with expertise in world-class data automation technology. Together, they will continue to build products and features that support our vision to be the most insightful and trusted small business platform.
While I’m currently based in Denver, I’ve spent time with our Toronto teams and can tell you it’s the people that make Xero such a great place to work. Everyone really looks out for each other. There’s a lot of work ahead of us, but I know our team in Toronto is up for the challenge and will play a vital role in building the next wave of innovation for Xero.
