The Australian Accounting Awards, now in its eighth year, is the only independent awards program for accountants in Australia.
There is still time to nominate yourself or an outstanding colleague, with submissions now set to close on 16 April.
Backed by principal partner Intuit QuickBooks, the awards recognise success, professionalism and innovation among Australian accountants.
The awards recognise individuals and firms across 36 categories, from rising stars to senior professionals, providing a unique opportunity to showcase achievements and network with peers.
The national awards program is free to enter and presents an exceptional opportunity for stars in the accounting industry to benchmark their achievements as well as recognise their firm’s excellence and dedication to the industry.
A five-star gala dinner will be held in Sydney on 18 June to celebrate both finalists and winners.
Intuit QuickBooks’ head of adviser strategy, Meagan Wood, said QuickBooks is delighted to be supporting the awards again this year as principal partner and is looking forward to celebrating the profession’s success.
“The past year has been particularly tough for so many, and despite this, it has been inspiring to see the tremendous amount of resilience and camaraderie in the industry,” Ms Wood said.
“Now more than ever, accountants and bookkeepers are integral to so many Australian businesses, and the Australian Accounting Awards is a chance to come together, recognise and celebrate all the hard work of the accounting and bookkeeping professions.
“As we look to the future to forge a new normal, Intuit QuickBooks believes that independent awards programs like the Australian Accounting Awards help to maintain industry excellence and are such a fantastic opportunity for accountants and bookkeepers to be acknowledged.”
