Portland-based Covetrus Inc. (Nasdaq: CVET), which has changed up and expanded its C-suite since launching two years ago, has named a new chief accounting officer.
Drew Coxhead will become CAO, vice president and corporate controller on Aug. 16, succeeding Laura Phillips, who is retiring from Covetrus, the company said in a news release Thursday.

Drew Coxhead next month will become chief accounting officer, vice president and corporate controller of Covetrus.
Coxhead will be responsible for Covetrus’ global accounting function, filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission and financial reporting systems.
He previously served as CAO and senior vice president at RR Donnelly and chief financial officer and treasurer at its spin-off, LSC Communications. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana.
Coxhead brings extensive financial and strategic leadership expertise that will further build out Covetrus’ capabilities and support its growth initiatives, the company said.

Covetrus, which provides a range of technology and services for over 100,000 veterinary practices worldwide, has 5,500 employees and took in revenue last year of $4.3 billion. The company in May reported first-quarter net sales of $1.1 billion, an increase of 3% compared to the first quarter of 2020.
