Independent Wealth Planners (IWP), the rapidly expanding Financial Planning-focused advisory group, has acquired two more firms to add £362m in assets.
IWP has acquired Alex M Grant based in Keith, north east Scotland, and Custodian Wealth Management based in Surrey.

Alex M Grant joins IWP’s regional arm for Aberdeenshire, Buchanan and Associates and brings £290m in client assets. The firm is headed by founder and principal Alex Grant who has over 32 years’ experience in providing independent financial advice to families and businesses.
Surrey-based Custodian Wealth Management was set up in 2004 by directors and Financial Planners, Branimir Gavrilovic and Richard Sutcliffe. Custodian has 200 clients and £72m in assets under advice and follows in the footsteps of Encompass Financial Management and Omnium Wealth Management in joining IWP’s regional firm for Hampshire and Surrey, Murdoch Asset Management,
