Cloud-Native Monitoring Among a Bevy of New Features in OpsRamp Winter Release
Today OpsRamp Inc. announced the Winter Release of its artificial intelligence for IT operations (AIOps) Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform of the same name. The update offers new Kubernetes monitoring for cloud-native workloads, plus additional topology maps and enhanced AIOps features.
For organizations implementing Docker container and Kubernetes container orchestration technologies, the OpsRamp Winter Release, according to the announcement, can help “discover and monitor environments across on-premises and cloud services like Azure Kubernetes Services, Google Kubernetes Engine, and Amazon Elastic Container Service for Kubernetes.” Each Kubernetes cluster can be monitored for total services, which details nodes and containers, plus a breakdown of pods by namespace, and for resource trends (CPU and memory utilization).
Also available with OpsRamp Winter Release is cloud event monitoring. According to the announcement, the platform can now “collect, aggregate, correlate and escalate events from AWS services such as AWS Health, ECS, Redshift, Data Migration Services, and CloudWatch.” This provides a single point of monitoring for cloud events across multiple cloud accounts.
“Our Winter Release will support digital operations teams on their journey to cloud and cloud-native architectures with enhanced AIOps capabilities for reduced mean-time-to-resolution,” said Mahesh Ramachandran, VP of Product Management at OpsRamp, in a prepared statement. “We want to keep IT infrastructure teams focused on offering the best customer experiences and delivering value back to the business.”
